Markest vs ChatGPT Sites
The whole deliverable, from any assistant, behind one link.
ChatGPT Sites builds and hosts websites and web apps, with a database and file storage when they need them, in a public beta on ChatGPT Plus and higher plans that began on 9 July 2026; at launch, public publishing and the wider beta were not offered in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland. Markest publishes what an assistant made, documents, code and HTML pages, to be read, from any assistant.
Checked on against ChatGPT Sites's own pages.

Where ChatGPT Sites leads
- Whole websites and apps, with a database and file storage when they need them, built for you by ChatGPT.
- Sites on your own domain.
- Visitor analytics built in: visitors and page views.
- Visitors can sign in with ChatGPT, and a Site can keep what belongs to each of them.
Where Markest leads
- The whole deliverable as it is: many documents, source files, HTML pages and images in folders, linked to one another, with a sidebar.
- Share a private artifact by its link alone: whoever you send it to reads it without an account or signing in.
- Publish from any assistant that connects over MCP, not only from ChatGPT.
- A free plan to start on.
- Encrypt an artifact in your browser when you make it: its key is only in the link you share, so not even Markest can read it.
